The first SOLARKIOSK E-HUBB in Nigeria was implemented this week in the capital Abuja. The project was realized as part of a cooperation with local Nigerian partners, the African Times Network (ATN) and the Nigerian Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).

The inauguration event was very well attended and garnered a lot of attention from the local press. In addition to hosting SOLARKIOSK CEO Andreas Spiess, the event was attended by several dignitaries including Mr. Fidelis Anosike (CEO of ATN), Chief Edem Duke (Minister of Tourism and Culture) and Dr. Omobola Johnson (Ministry of Communication Technology). Both ministry representatives have expressed their full support for maximizing the potential of SOLARKIOSK throughout the country and bring about a lasting positive social and economic development throughout Nigeria with sustainable and reliable solar energy. Furthermore, they have expressed their desire to enable the Nigerian youth to have access to modern technology and components, which will result in the development of technical and professional business skills in rural and semi-urban areas, where educational and employment opportunities are often lacking.

SOLARKIOSK AG is proud to contribute with the innovation that can empower Nigerians within their localities throughout the country.
