SOLARKIOSK AG will be present at several international conferences and events in the coming weeks. Below is an overview of the upcoming schedule:




2015 GOGLA Conference in Dubai, UAE – October 26-29, 2015


The 4th Global Off-Grid Lighting Association (GOGLA) International Conference and Exhibition is the premier event for the off-grid solar lighting and services industry.


The global event brings together lighting and solar kit manufacturers, component suppliers, importers, distributors, retailers, government representatives, donors, financiers, non-governmental organizations, and academics in a focused discussion about the state and future directions of the off-grid solar lighting and services market.


SOLARKIOSK CEO Andreas Spiess will moderate a panel that will discuss the global protection of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) within the solar lighting industry on Oct. 27th. On the following day Mr. Spiess will participate in a panel on off-grid consumer and retail financing.




2015 World Energy Council – Energy Trilemma Summit in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia – October 28-29, 2015


The Energy Trilemma Summit has been developed to provide an exclusive opportunity for the Council’s Community, together with special guests, to focus on ways to overcome the energy trilemma and to secure prosperity. Topics will explore issues that are high on the global and regional energy agenda, covering climate change mitigation, price volatility and the impact on renewables development, the energy-water-food nexus and energy access.


Andreas Spiess will participate on a panel that will discuss the leveraging of partnerships to increase energy equity in Africa on Oct. 29th.




2nd Africa Mini Grids Summit in Nairobi, Kenya – November 18-20, 2015


Andreas Spiess will participate as a speaker at this year’s Africa Mini Grids Summit, which is the only authoritative Mini-Grids focused event in region bringing together public & private stakeholders to tackle issues that are hampering the successful execution of mini-grid projects.
