SOLARKIOSK is one of the final nominees selected for the 2013 Ecodesign Award. The award is initiated by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment and is meant to honor innovative projects which excel on an ecological and economic level.

SOLARKIOSK GmbH was selected as one of the winners of the 2013 European Venture Contest – Energy Award, which is organized by the Europe Unlimited business network. The award ceremony took place in Denmark and united promising startups active in the field of renewable energy who pitched their innovation, developments and needs to a jury of business angels, venture capitalists, corporate investors and other industry experts.
The event is part of the European Venture Contest (EVC) that finds the top 10 emerging companies through a Pan-European competition every year. The Award Winners will get the opportunity to take part in this year’s Nordic Venture Forum and the European Venture Summit.Read More
The prestigious Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design has selected GRAFT Architects as one of the winners of the 2013 International Architecture Award for their pioneering design of the SOLARKIOSK.
SOLARKIOSK GmbH is the first-ever recipient of the biennial Carl-Duisberg-Society Prize for Entrepreneurship (CDG – Carl Duisberg Gesellschaft Unternehmer Preis) in the category “Development through Innovation”. The company was honored at an awards ceremony hosted by the Berlin branch of the KfW Development Bank and featured Mr. Dirk Niebel, the German Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, as the main event speaker. The CDG-Prize recognizes ventures whose aim is to contribute to the sustainable development of emerging economies.
The Carl-Duisberg-Society was founded in 1949 with the aim to initiate development through the means of education and innovation. The ceremony also recognized the recipient of the CDG-Prize in the “Development through Business” category, as well as the recipients of the Walter Scheel Award which recognized exceptional public service and non-profit endeavors.
