Solar powered fuel station retail infrastructure

As part of a greater partnership with SOLARKIOSK, Total uses three E-HUBBs as Bonjour shops in service stations that had no (convenience) shop presence. The E-HUBBs serve as temporary and permanent structures, implemented in less than one week by the SOLARKIOSK and required significantly less paperwork and permits than Total’s standard brick and motor Bonjour boutique.
The flexibility of the E-HUBB gives Total the ability to test the market for Bonjour products and services including their range of AWANGO solar products. The E-HUBB also allows Total the ability to offer new services, such as phone or battery charging, which are in great demand from motor bike drivers. Commuters stop to charge their phone and have a cold drink – driving traffic to the service station and greater visibility of Total’s range of solar products and solutions. Total can clearly demonstrate its commitment to renewable energy by selling products from a shop powered by renewable energy.

Gregory Durand - Business Development Manager, Total Access to Energy
Through the E-HUBB and our partnership with SOLARKIOSK, TOTAL has been able to further its commitment in the access to energy ecosystem. Through our joint efforts in Kenya, we have brought solar energy to communities without access to electricity as well as tested SOLARKIOSK solutions in three converted service stations.
