In its latest project, Solarkiosk had the great honor to support NGO Plan International, a renowned NGO that has the mission to relentlessly driving change to advance children’s rights and equality for girls by working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners.

We supported the project by Plan International Ghana, with the:

  1. Production, logistical support and implementation of our E-HUBB’s, as well as
  2. A comprehensive business model for the Hubs including a comprehensive user training

The E-HUBB’s are being used as a solar powered support hub for 13,000 female entrepreneurs in Northern Ghana. These aspiring entrepreneurs can now benefit from an uninterrupted power supply from our E-HUBB’s to support their activities.

According to Plan, “the hub is set up to provide a one-stop shop for over 13,000 women entrepreneurs in the Kumbungu and Tolon districts to start and grow small enterprises and businesses”.

This project is in line with our mission to design, develop, deploy and scale solar solutions intertwined with impactful business models for frontier markets.
